Homemade Granola–a hostess gift

Homemade Granola Recipe:
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (not instant)
1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons canola oil or 2 tablespoons (28 grams) unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup (120 ml) pure maple syrup (preferably Grade A Dark Amber)
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup toasted coconut
Method:
Toast the coconut till brown and fragrant. Set aside.

Mix the oil, butter, syrup with cinnamon and oats.

Toast at 350 for 20-25 mins, tossing the oats every few minutes to make sure they toast evenly. Keep an eye on them, they can burn.

Once, toasted, let them cool. Once cooled, toss in the cranberries and coconut.
Store them in airtight jars for upto a month.
